White-noise screen on laptop after...
So I have a Dell Inspiron-13 7000 series 2-in-1 tablet/laptop. I've had it for a year and it's been pretty riddled with problems from not closing correctly to audio not working, etc. However, those problems were all fixed because I just sent in the laptop to Dell because of my warranty. Now, my warranty is expired and another problem has popped up.
When I close my laptop screen (without shutting the power down) and then re-opening it, then the screen only shows white-noise similar to those old TVs with no reception. I can move the mouse around and see a little box of where the mouse is on the screen when it's moving. The facial recognition camera still turns on and it seems the screen slightly changes so as it stops flickering (although still it is static white noise) when it has "recognizes" me.
One more thing is that it will never go to the white-noise screen if the laptop is in BIOS setup, even when I close the lid and open it back up again.
In addition, if I power down the laptop completely, and then power it back up, it works fine. I am actually using the ailing laptop to write all of this. I have done all of the Dell tests there are, which all came out as it being OK. I contacted Dell, in which they said I'd have to pay $300 for them to check up on it.
Please let me know any of your thoughts of how to fix my laptop. I will answer any questions you may have that might give you a better understanding of the situation if it will help.
