Intel Haswell (4th) vs Intel Broadwell (5th) ?

Forum for discussing Tablet PC Hardware including pens, nibs and cases - forum.tabletpcreview.com
I'm not too savvy on this matter so I would appreciate it if someone could provide further info on this please. The way I understand it, the recently released Haswell (4th gen) which barely launched a couple months ago is already being replaced by Broadwell (5th gen) which is supposed to come 2014. I don't get why would they release the 4th gen and the 5th gen so close to each other, most devices out there are still running on Ivy Bridge (3rd gen). Maybe I got it all wrong, so if anyone could please explain, it would be great.
