Samsung Galaxy S8 causing WiFi issues
So my partner upgraded from her Samsung Galaxy S6 to her Samsung Galaxy S8 on Sunday. Everything about it is great so far, a fine upgrade. Apart from one thing. Whenever the S8 is using fairly bandwidth heavy apps, mainly Hearthstone. It loses internet, and not just for itself, all other devices suffer too, that's the PC, the TV, and my Galaxy S6 (the dreaded WiFi exclamation mark), meaning we either have to restart the router, or wait 10 minutes or so for it to recover. However when the S8 isn't connected to the internet or isn't doing anything substantial, all is well. We have a BT Smart Hub, contacted BT about this but they were stumped. Anyone else faced a similar issue, if so, did you find a solution?
It's worth noting that while no other devices cause this problem, the S8 causes no problems on the WiFi at her work, it seems to be the combination of Smart Hub and S8, the 2 just don't seem to get along.
PS: Unfortunately, factory resetting the S8 is not an option, also tried setting the S8 a Static IP address but that didn't do anything to resolve the issue
