10.3.3 is a Disaster

RIM (Research in Motion) - www.howardforums.com
I've read in various forums that the latest 10.3.3 update from BlackBerry is helping their devices run smoother and a tad faster and that, outside of various security cert updates, seems to be the only benefit of wasting a couple of hours of your life downloading it.

I don't even get the smoothness; in fact, my Passport is much choppier and prone to stalling than it has ever been before but my issues go so much deeper.

Since the update my device has started to randomly reboot (about 5 times a day and always while I'm using it), is running much, much hotter than I've ever noticed before (top right, from just below the volume buttons up), apps have mysteriously gone missing and some apps won't open at all. But the worst issue is that I'm now missing two vital email addresses from the hub, both Outlook accounts, and neither can they be reaccessed by using the automatic method (tells me that my provider isn't recognised) or by fully manually entering the current server info and security settings from Outlook. Still no emails.

I've tried forcing reboots, restoring the device to factory settings and then uploading the last 10.3.2 back up I ran the day I downloaded 10.3.3, restoring to factory settings and reloading 10.3.3, doing a full security wipe and then attempting to install 10.3.2 and when that didn't work 10.3.3. No change.

Fortunately I had bought a Lumia 650 DS in the Black Friday sale for $99, it really isn't a bad phone and it's dual SIM, so I can access my Outlook accounts from there but I don't want o be running two devices. I'm a big BBM fan and I use it to keep in contact with relatives abroad and friends from near-by; Window Phone 10 doesn't have a BBM app anymore so in order to keep in contact I now need to carry two devices with me.

I've contacted BlackBerry twice on Twitter, where I've had excellent customer service in the past, and I've had no response. Same could be said for the emails I've sent. It's pointless calling BlackBerry by phone, last time I did I was told my device was out of support time and I wasn't entitled to any help!

Anyhow, thanks for the rant. I'm not expecting answers or advice but if anyone has any feel free to let me know.
