Establishing new service with Cricket - Questions
1. If you have more than five lines, does it make more sense to place lines 6 and above on a second Cricket account rather than having them all on one account? Can you receive both the multi-line monthly discount and the auto-pay monthly discount on the same line? Are there any downsides to having more than one account?
2. Are there any other AT&T MVNOs with more competitive pricing than Cricket for consumers with multiple lines? How does Cricket compare to H2O, Airvoice and the other AT&T MVNOs?
3. Can Cricket port-in a phone number anytime on an already existing/active account, and replace the existing Cricket-issued number with the ported in number? Is there a fee for the port?
4. When activating a new line with a port-in, do you have working cellular service until the number port is successful? Is it with a temporary number?
5. Can Cricket port-in a landline phone number?
6. If receiving a free phone from Cricket when activating a new line with a port-in, if the port-in fails will Cricket bill the customer for the free phone equipment it supplied?
7. Of the available free phones (when activating with a ported-in number), which Android model(s), in your opinion, is the best/most worthwhile/most valuable?
8. If moving some lines from AT&T consumer postpaid service to Cricket (I know those activations don't qualify for a free phone), are there any specific limitations? Can you use the same phone equipment you're currently using on AT&T? Is it necessary to first get it unlocked if it was supplied by AT&T? If some of the phones are still under an AT&T installment plan, can you pay it off in a lump sum and use the phone on an MVNO?
9. Service-wise, how does Cricket compare to being directly on AT&T consumer postpaid service? How do the data speeds compare, throttling, roaming (voice and/or data) and customer service? What other difference are there between AT&T service and Cricket (aside from pricing)?
