$10 Credit for Auto Pay/Paperless Billing
I just ported into AT&T from Verizon almost 2 plus months ago. I brought my own phones. I have the Unlimited Plus Plan (2 Lines). A corporate store employee sold me on the $145 price tag. I haven’t minded the service so far, but I just received a third bill and I still did not receive the $10 bill credit for the auto pay/paperless billing. The bill is $155 before taxes. I have called about this last month and this month and they keep saying it will appear next month. I keep getting the 1-2 billing cycles canned line but I’m on the third bill. I signed up for paperless billing and autopay with a debit card when I signed up from day one. I even verified the email day one. You’d think this would be enough.
They said they’d give me a $10 credit for a courtesy this month and it’s been 2 days and it still didn’t reduce my balance. So I’m assuming that was a lie. I will call again tomorrow and beg for the $10.
I am really considering going back to Verizon. The reason being I do not want to call every month and argue for $10. Verizon seems to have been able to handle this task rather easily.
Every person I have spoken to at AT&T I feel is making stuff up as they go along. No one knows how the plans work or billing.
I have a few questions...
1. Why is it that Verizon canapply the discount immediately for the next bill in the same month with no issues? I had the Feb 17 Unlimited Plan there.
2. On Verizon’s website and app you can see a plan overview on the AT&T website and app you cannot. On AT&T I have to pretend to change the plan. Is there anywhere you can see that you’re getting the discount and your plan or do you have to wait for the bill to be cut?
3. What triggers the auto pay discount? Is it the sign up for autopay with a debit card and paperless billing turned on? Is it triggered when the actual auto payment through the debit card is processed while auto payment with debit and paperless billing are turned on?
