Samsung - Deep Sleep problems

Galaxy S II Q&A - xda-developers - forum.xda-developers.com
Deep Sleep problems

This problem wasted my whole Saturday. It's already Sunday now in Jakarta.

So, I bought a new battery, the old one had a short circuit when I was charging at school (stupid electricity). The old battery went really hot.

This new battery is working good, but I have some problem with deep sleep now.

After flashing AOKP JB this morning (before I bought a new battery), deep sleep stopped working, phone died in 3 hours from 100%.

Now after I bought a new battery and still on AOKP JB, Deep Sleep still won't work even after a few reboots.

What surprises me is, Deep Sleep is still not working on AOKP ICS!

Then I turned off my phone, flashed back to Stock after pulling out the battery for half an hour. Deep Sleep surprisingly working again. I thought it was a kernel or modem problem (I flashed a different complete stock ROM), so I flashed back to AOKP JB. And Deep Sleep failed. I thought this is a JB bug (TBH, till now I don't know if JB on S2 supports deep sleep).

I pulled the battery once again, and flashed stock. This time only a few minutes of battery pull though, but Deep Sleep isn't working. After reading some articles, people say that I need to plug in my charger for a while, and then remove it again after a few minutes. Yes it solved my problem, I was glad, but I dislike stock, so I thought I knew how can I fix it, I flashed back to AOKP ICS.

I checked deep sleep, it ain't working. I tried to plug my charger and leave it screen off for 5 minutes. Then I unplugged it, reset CPU Spy, and turned off the screen.. Deep Sleep is unused.

Anyone got some idea what's wrong with my phone? I'm sure this wakelock isn't caused by any apps, it happens in a fresh ROM.

Help please?
