Pantech Discover manual root

I just got the Pantech Discover yesterday, and the first thing I did was try every current method of root possible. Nothing was working, including the adb restore exploit. Eventually, I discovered through trial and error that booting into fastboot and booting this recovery - - (it's CWM touch for the evita) boots the device to a black screen that is detected by Windows as an HTC recovery device. From there, you can use adb shell and have full shell access. After I discovered that, I rebooted back to the ROM, used adb shell to copy su and Superuser.apk to /data/local/tmp, then back into the HTC recovery with fastboot.

At this point, since none of the partitions are mounted by default, I mounted mmcblk0p14 to /system, and mmcblk0p25 to /data. After that, I simply used cp to copy the su binary to /system/xbin and the Superuser apk to /system/bin. Set permissions to 06755, rebooted to the ROM, and voila, fully rooted. Now to get a recovery running and start porting CM!
