Battery Paused : Voltage Too High...
Hello I happen to run into the " Battery Paused : Voltage Too High problem and wanted to share what fixed it for me since i read a lot of post on a bunch of different forums with no one finding success besides taking it back to sprint witch is exactly what i was about to do after 3 days of trying to fix it with no luck in sight .... But After Doing this its been gone for about a week now i wanted to wait and see if it came back after flashing and stuff
SO i spent 3 days reading and flashing different Recovery's,Kernels,Roms you name it no matter what Rom I Flashed Stock,GB,ICS it stayed and i even called sprint while on one of the stock Flashes and they walked me through some useless tech steps and had no luck and told me to bring it to my local sprint store and they would replace it and i figured screw it new phone to play with but ended up getting rid of it so here what i did to get rid of battery paused voltage too high , im not saying to this going to fix anyone's phone but it worked on mine so it might just help you and believe me if you have this problem i pray it helps i know how much i hated it .
Stuff you need to Download
Go ahead and use this thread to download Odin
2. Stock Rom
Go ahead and use this thread to download the Stock Rom and i mean Stock lolz
3. CM5 Recovery
Download Link (md5sum 65e211d6875d8dd12ad795fe13aedd81)
4. Calkulin's_FORMAT_ALL_for_E4GT.zip Download link
5. Your choice in Rom . i went with the AnaKonda Rom so this guide is based on flashing that Rom but it should be the same on other Rom's
You must be running a kernel with CWM.
1.) First Place the Rom.zip of your choice and all the other Downloaded Zips On The Root of your SD card / internal memory card.
2.) Now Put your E4GT into download mode by holding down Volume-Down first and then hold down the Power button until you see ODIN DOWNLOAD MODE then press Up on the Volume Up Button
3.)Now navigate to the location of SPH-D710.EG30_CL435734-OneClick and run it and wait for it to flash you back to the Stock Rom (Out Of The Bock i mean so stock you can take it back to sprint after doing a factory reset located in the phones Security Settings )
4.) Now i did a system update until i was on the current sock update and updated my PRL/Profile witch might be optional but its what i did
5.) Now Open Odin ( Make sure nothing but Auto-Reboot is checked) and navigate to the CM5 Recover Tar. file and click start and wait for it to flash and restart .
6.)Once its booted Power off your phone and Boot into CWM5 by Pressing Volume Up And Power at the same time until your boot into recovery
7.) Now Perform a wipe Cache, and Dalvik-cache. Now in Mounts and Storage perform format/system. Now wipe data (factory reset).
8.) Now Select "install zip from file" and Flash Calkulin's_FORMAT_ALL_for_E4GT.zip
9.) Then Select "install zip from file" and navigate to and select the zipped Rom of your choice. ( I went with the AnaKonda Rom and i have to say its a great Rom so you should give it a try )
10.) When its done flashing, go back and select "reboot system now". The first boot will take a couple minutes. Subsequent boots will be much faster.
Now Once you reboot you should be on your choice of Rom without the Battery Paused : Voltage Too High problem and if this worked for you please post and let me know im hoping this at least help one person get rid of the horrible warning
Warning: Do NOT restore system data with Titanium Backup. Do NOT restore ALL apps with data. If you absolutely must restore something with Titanium Backup, only restore MISSING apps with data. and always wipe Cache, and Dalvik-cache when flashing something new and ONLY flash one zip at a time after flashing a zip restart phone and then flash another Zip.
At Step 3 The [Battery Paused : Voltage Too High] problem seemed to be magically gone lolz So with it gone and no need to take it back in my eyes i went a head and flashed a new Rom,Recovery,Modem you know the Goods so this is what i did to go to a new Rom without having the Voltage Warning Popping back up.
