CDMA supporting iPhones ending

Apple - www.howardforums.com
With Verizon planning to mostly end the CDMA phone network by the end of 2019, and the news that, pending approval, T-Mobile and Sprint are merging, is this the last year that Apple sells new CDMA capable iPhone models?

I can't see Apple releasing a new CDMA model in September of 2019 if Verizon is shutting it down a few months later. And they already are selling some VoLTE models.

And a combined T-Mobile/Sprint could just sell new models with LTE/GSM support, moving new customers to the T-Mobile LTE/HSPA network (primary) with native support for Sprint's existing LTE networks.
