So iMessages don't go through when your phone is dead?
So either I've been out of the loop badly or this is just something I didn't realize.
Recently my iPhone 6S battery has been horrific as I'm sure many others have experienced since the iOS update. My phone now constantly dies during the night (at least when I forget to plug it in).
I can have the phone on 60% battery and will still wake up with it dead.
Anyway... on MORE than one occasion now I've had people tell me they texted me in the middle of the night, yet I never received the text. I simply started thinking that my phone was just so messed up that it wasn't receiving these texts, even if the phone had died. I've had a dead overnight phone in the past a few times over the years and could have sworn I'd wake up to all the texts just popping up once the phone was charge/connected to WiFi.
But apparently after doing some research I've learned that iMessage simply doesn't go through to a dead phone. Wow. Is this 100% accurate? Seems hard to believe. So if someone sends you a crucial/important text and your phone just so happens to be dead, you'll NEVER get it???
Thank you in advance for any information.
