wifi on LG Ultimate 2
I have an LG Ultimate 2 Tracfone. Last month, I upgraded and moved my number and minutes to a new phone. For 2 or 3 weeks, while I had no phone function, I was able to use the phone with wi-fi. I planned to download music and use it as a mp3 player for kids. Worked fine until last night. Now, I am getting a boot certification verify error message. It usually won't go past the LG logo page although now and then, it will go to the tracfone logo. Can't turn it off without removing the battery.
The phone was not rooted, and research indicates it is an error with rooted phones. I don't really speak tech, so most of what I've read doesn't make sense. My first question is, is it something I can fix? Also, is it possible that when I moved my tracfone account to another phone, it caused this one to quit working? I don't want to add a phone account to it, I don't need another phone.
It's no big deal really, but I hated to throw it away when I got the new phone. If I can get some good from it, then yay.
